Last night, a lot of our Daily Fantasy Baseball picks were affected by bad weather conditions.
We had some delays but also two postponed games in Cleveland and Chicago. Some popular public picks had great games, but some of our sleepers delivered as well. Today, we have a short slate of games, and some of them should be high-scoring ones, so pick your pitchers carefully.
The weather concern from yesterday is expected to be in play again for tonight’s games. Make sure you check the weather situation before the lineups lock to maximize your chances for a winning night!
Today’s Top Daily Fantasy Baseball Picks
Fantasy Baseball Pitcher:
Zack Greinke: Greinke was stellar in his first start as a Dodger against the Pirates. He allowed just 2 hits in 6.1 innings. He has another juicy matchup tonight against the San Diego Padres in pitcher-friendly PETCO Park. The Padres are off to a rough 2-6 start, they are struggling to hit without offensive star Chase Headley, and they in the bottom five in league in all major offensive categories. This game should be a walk in the park for Greinke; he should get enough run support to record a comfortable win.
Fantasy Baseball Infielder:
Adrian Gonzalez: Gonzo is coming to his “home” ballpark in San Diego where he spent five years of his career and really blossomed into the star-caliber player he is now. He is off to a great start hitting at a .393 average, but he is still waiting for his first home run. There is a chance he won’t have to wait much longer; he has a lengthy history against Jason Marquis, and even though he hasn’t took him deep yet, this may be the game.
Fantasy Baseball Catcher:
Wilson Ramos: The National backstop has had a great start to this season. He is 6-13 with two home runs and stays hot despite sharing his starter’s role with Kurt Suzuki. The Nats have one of the best lineups in baseball, and there is plenty opportunity to produce in each game. They are going against Dylan Axelrod, who was great in his first start this season against the Mariners. However, you really can’t compare these two lineups. Ramos should continue hit well in this game.
Fantasy Baseball Outfielder:
Alex Rios: Rios is off to his best start in ages. He is hitting .419/.471/.839 in his first eight games with four homers, and today he has probably the best matchup out there. He will be facing Dan Haren, who has been far from good all spring and also in his first start. I expect the White Sox to hit him hard and often and given Rios’ current form, I wouldn’t be surprised if he adds bomb No. 5.
