Today’s Daily Fantasy Baseball Top Pitcher
Matt Harvey – For starters, the under/over in this game is set at a putrid 6.5, meaning that Las Vegas has little confidence in either of these teams scoring many runs. Furthermore, Matt has a 1.67 ERA and a ridiculously low .78 WHIP (walks + hits / innings pitched) in his last four games.
Today’s Daily Fantasy Baseball Top Hitters
David Wright – Daily fantasy baseball players were devastated to learn that David was inexplicably not in the lineup yesterday for a game in the offensively friendly Coors Field. Today the daily fantasy baseball gods bless Wright with an equally tasty match-up as he gets to face Ross Detwiler. Ross is a scuffling left-handed pitcher and David has a career .334 BA vs lefties, so you do the math.
Hanley Ramirez – Hanley has homered in three of the last five games he’s started. He gets to face John Lannon who he’s 10-23 against in his career, including four extra base hits.
Wilin Rosario – Playing Wilin Rosario at home vs a left handed picture is nothing short of muscle memory for me at this point. When facing lefties, Wilin has a career batting average of .325 as well as an OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) of over 1.000. If you aren’t terribly familiar with what an impressive OPS is, just trust us, that’s good.
Carlos Gonzalez – Typically daily fantasy baseball players do their best to avoid lefty/lefty match-ups when picking their bats. This is accepted daily fantasy baseball logic but Carlos breaks this “rule” when he faces Barry Zito who is a career 12-34, including four extra base hits.
