With only three games tonight, there is definitely going to be some luck involved. Thursdays are always a crapshoot so I’ll be giving a couple high price picks that should do well, and a couple value/gamble plays that could win you some big bucks. I tend to stick to GPP’s on Thursdays as it’s usually much harder to pick that consistent double up lineup when there are only three games.

Picks of the Night
Ricky Rubio has been on fire in the month of March and is really backing up all the hype. He truly is the man in charge for Minnesota, and has a great matchup against Sacramento who has surrendered huge fantasy numbers to opposing PG’s all year. This game should stay close and should be pretty high scoring, so look for the Spaniard to have a nice fantasy game. ($7,800 DraftKings)
Joakim Noah has a great matchup against the under sized J.J. Hickson, and a Portland team that is a nightmare on the road this year. The Trailblazers as a team are noticeably worse on the road, while Noah is coming off two solid double doubles and is very consistent at home. He played them earlier this year and put up a nice line of 16 points, 15 rebounds and 8 assists, and should be able to produce something similar tonight. ($8,500 DraftKings)
Mid Range Plays
Nikola Pekovic recently made his return from an abdomen injury and has played 24 minutes in two games back. He said earlier in the week it would take a couple games to get back into game shape, so hopefully he gets a few more minutes in a great matchup tonight against Sacramento. His price is a little lower than it should be on most sites, and he should be able to take advantage of DeMarcus Cousins tonight. ($6,200 DraftKings)
Andre Miller will be in for a big night if Ty Lawson misses tonight’s game with a heal injury. Miller is already a very productive piece of the Nuggets offense, and if Lawson is out he will surely get all the minutes he can handle. ($4,600 DraftKings)
Corey Brewer should see an increase in minutes tonight due to Wilson Chandler going down with a separated shoulder in their last game against OKC. He can fill in at SG and SF, and could see lots of minutes in a possible blowout game. ($4,900 DraftKings)
Tony Douglas has taken over backup point guard duties in Sacramento, and actually played five more minutes than starter Isaiah Thomas last game, helping the Kings to an unexpected home victory over the Clippers. I’m not expecting that to continue, but it does seem likely that a time share is in the future. Douglas was able to put up a nice line of 19 points and 7 assists, and at his price that’s a great deal. He’s definitely not a lock, but could be a nice pick that flies relatively under the radar. ($3,400 DraftKings)
