Last Week’s Whole in One Daily Fantasy Golf Picks
Tiger Woods put together two sub-70 rounds to win the Tampa Bay Championship.
Brandt Snedeker missed the cut during his first round back from injury posting a +8.
Jason Dufner missed the cut after a terrible second round, posting a +4.
Ian Poulter finished T-21 at 2 under par.
Tiger Woods won the tournament by two strokes posting a -13.
Rickie Fowler had one of his most commanding performances of the year posting a -8, and finishing T-3rd.
*3/5 of the DFR daily fantasy golf picks made the cut and finished in the top 25, including the tournament winner.
This week players arrive at Humble, TX to tackle the Redstone Country Club Tournament Course. Playing at 7,441 yards and a Par 72, this course is long and benefits bombers. The course will resemble play at Augusta as sort of a preparation round for the Master’s. Most golfers use this tournament as a chance to practice for the first major of the year, but also want to compete for the win. Last year’s winner, Hunter Mahan, posted a -16 and registered three sub 70 rounds on his path to victory. He will be among the field along with other previous winners, and they should provide some great daily fantasy golf action.

This Week’s Whole in One – Daily Fantasy Golf Picks
Keegan Bradley is coming off of a great finish at the Palmer Invitational where he finished T-3. He has been very consistent, and has only missed one cut out of nine starts this year. His fourth place finish last year at this tournament should be a precursor of things to come.
Rory McIlroy needs to get the Nike commercial out of his head. He also needs to check his teeth, and make sure they feel alright before starting the tournament. He missed the cut last year, but is still the most talented golfer in the world. The world’s #2 needs a decent finish to provide confidence going in to the Master’s, and this is the week to build that confidence.
Steve Stricker gave a putting tip to last weeks winner, Tiger Woods. Steve doesn’t need any tips himself, and is in my top five rankings this week. Stricker has played in three events and has made the top ten in all of them. I look for this week to be more of the same and will have him in every line.
Phil Mickleson is coming off a missed cut at the Arnold Palmer Invitational. Sometimes Phil provides worry for the daily fantasy golfer because it is unclear if he is dedicated to winning. One thing Phil is dedicated to is winning green jackets. With this tournament set up similar to Augusta, I look for Phil to put together a great performance this week.
Hunter Mahan was last year’s winner posting a -16. He has finished in the top ten three times in the last four years, and has had tremendous success at Redstone. I am always weary about picking back to back winners, but I don’t see any reason Mahan shouldn’t contend for the lead this week.
