The Daily Fantasy Radio fantasy sports podcast is here for your listening enjoyment!
Fantasy sports podcasts with up to the minute analysis and hard hitting statistics are all the rage, so naturally our house experts Dean “DFS_Almanac” Shavelson and Gabriel “CrazyGabey” Harber decided to completely forego that route. Filling the airwaves with the angry rantings of bitter old men, these two ensure you won’t know what to expect. One thing is certain though, the laughs keep coming with their sarcastic, self-deprecatory, and cynical view on everything within the world of sports. Listen for a complete meltdown of any and everything that is sacred in the fantasy sports universe.
Dean and Gabey start the fantasy sports podcast by examining the ridiculous nature of college football scheduling, and how it annoys the hell out of daily fantasy players participating in college football contests every Saturday. With the scores escalating to mythic proportions before halftime in many cases, the best matchups are often ones that force you to “pray” that your player has a piece of the 50 points scored before the break. At that point all starters are benched.
They move the fantasy sports podcast along to a trade in Dean’s season-long league, and Dean likely loses a few lifetime friends along the way as his bitter rant amounts to calling his buddy a buffoon. Gabey chimes in with his own grievance about season long leagues, explaining how for two weeks he’s finished with the second highest score in a 14-team league but has faced off against the top scorer both times.
It all comes full circle when Dean and Gabey decide to take an in-depth look at the (non-existent) world of daily fantasy WNBA. Both hosts decide they would dedicate themselves to the sport should it ever come into existence.
