Where to being in our DraftKings review, they are simply the site that has taken the BALLS TO THE WALL approach to getting to the top of the industry. In just a very quick year they have taken over every spot and have number one in their cross hairs. The history of DraftKings is simple, they have a solid founding team with outstanding talents. This is a major factor in gaining the massive amounts of investment dollars they have received. Co Founder and CEO Jason Robins spearheads the drive to the top, bringing his successful background from companies like Vista Print and Capital One. Matt Kalish and Paul Liberman also flank him in their fight to take over the industry.
One of the key factors to their success is their ability to attract the big players who are always looking for massive prize-pools, which they have. Another important factor they have going for them which we will get into in our DraftKings review is the ease of use. Some players are entering over 50 lineups into certain concepts, which is a challenge on it’s own. A well known player, naapsterman commented on the ability for him to edit his massive lineups each on our podcast which you can listen to here. If you want to become a daily fantasy millionaire look no further than DraftKings.
Cashier – the cashier allows you to deposit via Paypal and the standard array of credit card options. Cashing out is quick and easy via Paypal or check.
Rake – DraftKing’s rake is the industry standard 10% with a drop off at higher stakes.
Customer Service – The customer service at DraftKings is quick to respond via email and takes care of any issues you have in a professional manner.
Interface – The player selection screen is great, the player stat boxes are informative, and the “Top Live Contests” box is really useful so you can see how you’re doing in other games. That being said, the “Standings” could be a bit bigger, more attractive, and easier to navigate.
Salary – Until recently DraftKings had some of the worst player salaries & updates in the business. Very often leaving players producing tons of fantasy points consistently at their minimum salary of $3k. This took some of the fun out of their games, resulting in a high % of players having the same 2-3 guys to start with. Things have changed for the better though, as their prices are currently fair and balanced.
Scoring – We really enjoy the scoring at DraftKings. They only penalize you for turnovers in the daily fantasy basketball games and include a bonus for assists and rebounds. We feel like this is the perfect storm of variables, giving them some of our favorite scoring rules in the daily fantasy industry.
