Tonight’s slate of Fantasy Baseball action at FanThrowdown is loaded with 28 teams in play.
NOTE: The FTD NOW blog was down during the site maintenance, my daily strategy article will be back there starting tomorrow.
Even though fantasy football season is now upon us there is still a great opportunity to win big at daily fantasy baseball. A few plays stand above the rest in my opinion tonight. Use these top daily fantasy baseball picks to take down your contests!
Jose Fernandez $22,320 – No one expected Fernandez to be this good this soon, but the hurling prodigy has proven he belongs in the discussion for league’s top pitcher. Tonight he takes on a Nationals team that has definitely had some pop in their bats as of late. Historically though they’ve struggled against strong pitching this season, and I’ll give the edge to the Miami ace every time.
Buster Posey $8,100 – Posey has been a career lefty-killer, and he deserves consideration every time one takes the mound. Patrick Corbin has been tough, but he’s fallen off a bit recently. It may be that the young hurler is simply feeling fatigued towards the end of his first big league season. At this price tag I’m optimistic that Posey can turn in a big game.
Dustin Pedroia $10,500 – With Andy Petite on the mound in such an extreme hitter’s environment I’ll be targeting right-handed Boston bats heavily tonight. Leading the charge is Dustin Pedroia and his lefty-mashing tendencies. I believe he’s in an excellent position to turn in a huge game.
Troy Tulowitzki $9,100 – Tulo continues to be priced at a bargain, and it continues to remain a mistake to leave him off your team. There are few shortstops in the game capable of hitting as proficiently.
Carl Crawford $9,200/Andre Ethier $10,800 – Both of these Los Angeles outfielders get a stellar matchup with Mike Leake in an extreme hitter’s environment. Both bats have been swinging with great efficiency over the past two weeks, and have found themselves in meaty positions in the order.
