Five Guys No Burgers and Fries – Daily Fantasy Basketball 2-27-13

It was a high scoring night on the Daily Fantasy Radio Circuit, with scores inflated by a few overtime thrillers. All in all an excellent showing at StarStreet. Tonight’s stop takes us to FantasyFeud where you’ll have a chance to display your daily fantasy basketball dominance in the $5.50 GPP! If you haven’t signed up yet, what are you waiting for?

Yesterday was all about the overtime in Miami, as the Heat outlasted Sacramento in a double overtime thriller. LeBron James and Dwayne Wade shifted the fate of many a daily fantasy basketball contest, and those who were brave enough to take Kings players against Miami were handsomely rewarded. Overtime in Phoenix also allowed for some added goodness on a number or highly owned players. The story of the night though was Andrei Kirilenko leaving in the first quarter due to a calf strain. AK47 was highly owned on every site given the matchup and his price tag, and his departure allowed a huge opening for teams that otherwise wouldn’t have been able to, the chance to sneak into the money.

You took me, didn’t you?

Carmelo Anthony has been up and down as of late, but studies show a matchup with the Golden State Warriors is exactly the medicine an elite wing player needs to get back on track. The Warriors are on the second night of a back to back after an emotional loss against the Pacers, one in which Paul George lit them up like a Christmas tree. Melo will face similar (lack of) resistance, and only an early blowout could prevent him from crushing his daily fantasy basketball value. His price is nicely situated on FantasyFeud at $141,020.

Jeff Teague has been on the best run of his young career, dishing out assists at a rate previously unseen. It’s officially gone from anomaly to trend, and tonight he takes on the Utah wings who’ve had notable difficulties containing opposing point guards. Teague currently sits at $125,084 on FantasyFeud.

Tobias Harris is name you’ve likely never considered for daily fantasy basketball, but his production since the the trade from Milwaukee to Orlando has been nothing short of remarkable. Harris has stepped into the role of co-6th man with Beno Udrih, and is filling the shoes in a more efficient way than anyone could have expected. He’s essentially assured 25-30 minutes each night, and for a young, talented value play that’s more than enough. Harris is a true steal at FantasyFeud for only $31,191.

LaMarcus Aldridge has been in a funk his past few games, posting uncharacteristically low numbers across the board. As a result he’s fallen in price on every site, to the point where he’s beginning to resemble a high end, mid-range value play. LaMarcus draws a matchup with Kosta Koufos and the Denver Nuggets tonight, a team he torched for 30 points, 8 rebounds, and 6 assists last meeting. His price tag is a steal for $121,969 on FantasyFeud.

Tyson Chandler has played extremely well in streaks this season, and as we saw last night with Roy Hibbert, a matchup with the Golden State Warriors is a dream scenario for an elite rebounder and shot blocker. He’s priced at $100,626 on FantasyFeud.
