Five Guys No Burgers and Fries – Daily Fantasy Basketball 2-28-13

Last night was certainly worthy of a Wednesday evening, living up to the billing as the NBA’s marquee night! We saw a plethora of outrageous scores on the Daily Fantasy Radio Circuit stop at FantasyFeud, with some fella named CrazyGabey eventually taking down the event. Tonight we take a break from daily fantasy basketball as the Circuit heads to DraftKings for daily fantasy hockey!

Although there were enough storylines to fill a small novel, Stephen Curry’s 54 points at Madison Square Garden was the obvious showstopper. Kevin Durant triple doubled, Tyson Chandler pulled down 28 rebounds, and Al Horford continued his league-wide domination with a career high 34 points, among other outstanding performances. Things slow down tonight with only three games slated, but that doesn’t mean we don’t have some exciting plays for you this evening. Let’s dig in.

Daily Fantasy Basketball

Top Daily Fantasy Basketball Pick: Paul George is where you want to be investing your high end salary tonight, as a meeting with the anemic wing defense of the Clippers is precisely what the doctor ordered. Reports have surfaced that the Clippers were so worried about their ability to defend elite wings that they almost pulled the trigger on Caron Butler for Trevor Ariza, which I believe would have been an excellent deal for L.A. That’s all in the past now, and the very real present is that George has solidified himself as a bona fide stud. This should be a hard fought, down to the wire contest and I expect the prime time slugfest against a top western conference opponent to be more than enough inspiration for George. He sits at $8,700 on DraftKings tonight.

Ian Mahinmi will likely draw the start in place of noted Curry-killer Roy Hibbert today. Mahinmi is an average post presence, but given the state of the Clippers interior defense and the minutes he’ll log, he should be locked and loaded in almost every daily fantasy basketball lineup tonight. You can practically steal him for $3,300 on DraftKings.

Derrick Williams is on the heater of his career, taking full advantage of his new found role and playing time. The Lakers have been one of the worst teams in essentially every category against opposing power forwards in their past 10 games. Williams logged a solid daily fantasy basketball evening with 15 points and 9 rebounds in an earlier meeting with the Lakers this season. He’s priced at $6,200 on DraftKings tonight.
