Welcome to Five Guys No Burgers And Fries: Daily Fantasy Strategy. In this article we’ll be examining daily fantasy strategy by discussing five players that have an excellent chance of performing well this evening.
LaMarcus Aldridge- Aldridge has been on a rampage over his past ten games, averaging 35.63fp on DraftKings scoring. He’s gone over 44fp in three of his last four contests. Denver has been slowly shoring up their pathetic DEFF against the C, improving from 25th on the year to 16th over the past 10 games, but neither Kosta Koufos nor JaVale McGee can handle a big man with the skill set of Aldridge. I predict he continues treading down the warpath this evening.
Eric Bledsoe- News broke late in the afternoon yesterday that Chris Paul would miss the evening’s contest. In response, Bledsoe took hold with a sure hand and assisted the Clippers in laying waste to a struggling Grizzlies squad. With fresher legs than most off a back to back due to his normal reserve role and limited minutes, I’m betting Bledsoe gives fits to a Houston squad that is notoriously weak against opposing PGs, clocking in at 26th in DEFF on the year. Bledsoe is a starting caliber talent who would have the main gig on many NBA teams so ride him until Chris Paul heals up.
Paul George- Those who follow me on Twitter know my obsession with George is borderline unhealthy, but on nights like these I don’t know why everyone doesn’t join the party. Charlotte is 24th in DEFF against opposing PFs. George’s main early season knock was his weak road splits, but he’s now averaging 40.63fp on DraftKings scoring over his past four away games. It’s almost better that this game is in Charlotte, as a home game for the Eastern Conference’s hottest team would be more likely to deteriorate into a blowout, keeping George off the floor.
Brandon Jennings- Ever the mercurial performer, Jennings has been heating up over his past four tilts with an average of 42.75fp on DraftKings scoring. Tonight he’ll take on a Lakers squad ranked dead last in the NBA against the PG, in what also happens to be the night’s highest O/U at 211 points. I expect big things from the young gun.
Earl Clark- If you’ve been under a rock for the past week, let me tell you a little bit about Earl, who prefers the nickname “Eazy.” Since stepping into a desperate front court situation he’s done nothing but average 30.5 minutes and 34.48fp on DraftKings scoring. Pau Gasol be damned, stats like that mean Eazy is here to stay, and as long as you’re able to grab him on a discounted price tag you should.
