Justin’s Journey Week 6

daily fantasy football lineupsJustin’s daily fantasy football lineups had a rough go of it!

While that cold-hearted bitch Mother Nature tried to keep me down over the past week, I channeled my inner Derrick Rose and took my sweet time finding my way back to reality. As if being sick in bed isn’t miserable enough, not being able to find the strength to watch football for an entire week is when you realize things have gone too far. It has been at least a decade since I can remember missing every game, and most importantly, I caught no more than a passing glance at the Bengals/Bills game. From this point on, I have a few options. I can go Brett Favre style and play through anything. I can go Rob Gronkowski and say I’ll play, but never actually show up. Or I can go middle of the road and obtain Michael Vick status, casting myself as uncertain until I decide that I really don’t feel like getting hit this week. I’ll start with somewhere in between Favre and Vick. I’ll be here, and the talent is present as always, but you can expect some drive and heart in my daily fantasy football lineups as well.

On a side note, despite not setting my daily fantasy football lineups, I did manage to crush in each of my yearly leagues last week, which just made me come to the further realization that I missed out on a lot of money. I’ve been big on Justin Blackmon since the day he came up, even owning him in every yearly league, and I started him along with Alshon Jeffery for their coming out parties a few weeks back. I know that there is money to be made each week, and I’m back to take what’s mine.

There are a lot of key injuries coming into this week, but I’m not reading too far into a lot of them. For instance, I can’t buy for a second that Harry Douglas can become the top wideout to compliment Tony Gonzalez in Atlanta. The guy has had a ton of chances to show what he’s got, and I’m still waiting to see it. I think a lot of people will be buying in on him. Not me. One guy that I do think will play well; getting his chance off an injury is Nick Foles. You all saw it last week. I didn’t, but you did. The kid can play. He may be a cheap option this week at QB.

I’m glad to be back at it after a week off. Good luck this week.
