In this article we will be talking about important news from last night´s action. You don´t have to look for the news elsewhere. Daily Fantasy Radio has it all.
Kemba Walker and Demarcus Cousins recorded double-double as the Bobcats lost their 14th straight home game. Gerald Henderson scored 15 points in 35 minutes despite a sore back. Ramon Sessions had a nice game off the bench with 16 points in 29 minutes. Five Kings players scored double-digit points with Marcus Thorton leading the way at 18. This only confirms that Cousins is the only Sacramento player you can trust right now.
Manu Ginobilli and Tim Duncan didn´t play, so Tony Parker took over as the Spurs beat the Hawks and improved to 32-11. Parker finished the game with 23 points, 12 dimes and 4 rebounds. Matt Bonner had his best game this season, scoring 17 points in just 23 minutes. The Hawks are coming through a rough stretch and injuries are mounting up. Lou Williams tore his ACL in the last game and is out for the season, and Devin Harris had to be helped off the floor with a sprained ankle. Kyle Korver took advantage of extended playing time and produced 19 points and 8 boards. He should be the beneficiary of these injuries going forward. Jeff Teague had a second straight solid game with 15 points and 8 assists.
Chicago played their 3rd straight overtime game as they came back from a 17 point deficit in the eventual losing effort. Joakim Noah didn´t play at all in the last 22 minutes. Thibodeau played a small lineup with Carlos Boozer at center in the 4th quarter and he called it “coaching decision”. Jimmy Butler got the start for injured Luol Deng, playing well in 47 minutes with 18 points and 8 boards. Zach Randolph returned to the action for the Grizzlies and had 13 points and 19 rebounds. Marc Gasol made 7 of his 10 shots and scored 19 points with 8 rebounds.
Stephen Curry returned for the Warriors in the win against the Hornets. David Lee sat out with sprained ankle. Curry had 20 points and 7 assists but shot only 5-17 from the field. Jarret Jack is on fire and Curry´s return didn´t limit him at all. He scored 25 points with 12 assists in 35 minutes off the bench. Klay Thompson scored season-high 29 points on excellent 11-16 shooting. Rookie phenom Anthony Davis had a monster game scoring 20 points (9-12 shooting) with 12 boards and 4 blocks in 31 minutes. The injury ravaged Timberwolves won over the struggling Rockets, who dropped their 7th straight game. Minnesota had 7 players unavailable and received surprising contributions from two players on 10 day contracts. Chris Johnson and Mickael Gelabate scored 26 combined points and gave the ‘Wolves a much needed boost off the bench. It seems that Andrei Kirilenko plays with the chip on his shoulder when called upon to produce in the midst of injuries, as he scored 21 points with 11 rebounds and 3 steals. He’s a great play going forward with both Kevin Love and Nikola Pekovic out. James Harden led the Rockets with 18 points but his shooting slump continues. He made only 5 of 18 field goals including 0 for 7 from behind the arc. Carlos Delfino played heavy minutes again as he scored 15 points. With extended minutes in each last few games, he becomes an interesting option for daily fantasy players. Omer Asik played only 15 minutes due to foul trouble and it’s hard to trust him moving forward.
The Cavaliers finished their 5 game west coast road trip with a loss in Utah. Dion Waiters had 23 points off the bench despite being GTD. Kyrie Irving finished with 18 points and 9 assists, and young big men Tyler Zeller and Tristan Thompson recorded double-doubles. Randy Foye led his team with 20 points and Derrick Favors added 19. Al Jefferson had 14 points and 11 rebounds. An interesting note from this game is Utah´s rotation. Jefferson led the team with just 30 minutes and 10 players played more than 17. Fantasy players should watch this situation because if the trend continues it´s hard to trust any player with this playing time distribution.
Brandon Jennings scored 30 points with 8 assists in Milwaukee´s win in Portland. Ersan Ilyasova had a huge game with 27 points, 14 boards, and 4 assists in just 26 minutes. Blake Griffin in particular struggled from the field (5-18) as he finished with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Eric Bledsoe returned to his bench role and scored 11 points with 7 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks in just 18 minutes. John Wall came off the bench for a 4th straight game but was the best Wizard on the court. He finished with 24 points and 6 assists. Just like Sacramento and Utah, Washington played with a 10-man rotation, making it hard to trust most players on a night to night basis. Bradley Beal led the way with 32 minutes.
