Where to Play:
Finally! Daily fantasy basketball is back! There are nine games on tap tonight, leaving us with lots of options and many questions to be answered. With tons of great freeroll action I’ll be playing on a bunch of different sites including DraftKings, FanDuel, & StarStreet.
Picks of the Night:
Nikola Vucevic - Out of Nikola’s’ last 22 games before the all star break he had 17 double-doubles! One of those duds was his final game before the all-star break, where he apparently decided he would start his break early. Simply put, the man is a double-double machine and should be in all lineups tonight. Orlando is playing at home against the Bobcats, who rank dead last in defending opposing centers over the last ten games. Vucevic should easily get back to his usual double-double self we have grown to love. (DraftKings $7,200)
Stephen Curry – GS is playing at Utah who was recently torched by Ricky Rubio for a near triple double. This isnt the first time Utah has given up big FP to opposing PG’s, and I think Curry is in line for a big night. As long as he didn’t party too hard in Houston this weekend, he should be good to go after only participating in the three point contest. Utah ranks last in defending opposing PG’s over the past ten games. Jamaal Tinsley and Alec Burk should translate into fantasy goodness for opposing PG’s. (DraftKings $8,300)
Damian Lillard - He should be in line for a big night, with a great matchup at home, against the struggling Suns. He did roll his ankle in the Rising Stars game Friday night, but said afterward he was fine. Also, Wes Mathews missed practice Monday and could miss tonights game, which would mean more shots for Lillard. (DraftKings $6,600)
Arron Afflalo - His price has dropped into sleeper/value range, and he has has a really appetizing matchup at home against the Bobcats. While the Magic are pretty terrible, they should be able to beat Charlotte at home and Afflo should play a role in that. He played in three games before the all-star break after missing his previous six with a calf injury, but that should be 100% behind him by now. (DraftKings $4,700)
Bradley Beal - His price is still crazy cheap on sites such as DraftKings (3.9K), and he could be back in his starting roll following the all-star break. He has blowup potential and could easily put up 6x type value. If Beal’s in the starting five tonight, it’s going to be hard to keep him out of your lineup on most sites.
Jeff Green – Green has been playing with a totally different mentality since Rondo and Sullinger went down, and definitely not in a bad way. He is taking it hard to the rack, and playing with the passion and aggression that Boston fans had heard he was capable of but had yet to see. The minutes are going to be there, and until his price climbs a little higher I’m going to continue riding Jeff Green. Green should hit value tonight in what will likely be a close, high scoring, game in Denver. (DraftKings $4,700)
