Where to Play:
It’s Thursday once again, and unfortunately another day with only two NBA games. Thankfully they should be highly entertaining, and will both be on national TV, but it also means there aren’t many options for daily fantasy basketball. You’ll find me on DraftKings tonight, because unlike some sites, when there’s only two games they still have a great selection of leagues to play.
Picks on the Night:
Chris Paul - He hasn’t played in real a game since the 14th (unless you count dominating the all star game and taking home MVP a real game), and should be plenty rested when the Clips take on the Spurs on national TV tonight in LA. He always shows up for big games and should put on a clinic against Tony Parker, who is not known for his defense. You’ll also benefit from his price being way too low based on his recent performances. (DraftKings $8,800)
Blake Griffin - Blake is just too athletic for old Timmy D. In two meetings this year he is averaging 20 & 10, and should do something similar tonight. Blake has also had the extra rest after the ASB, so lob city should be in full effect tonight. (DraftKings $8,700)
*The Clippers are 2-0 against the Spurs this year, with a blowout win at home earlier this season. However, I expect a much closer game tonight.
Joakim Noah – Put up monster stats in his first game back after the ASB and has a nice match-up tonight against Miami, who is notoriously weak against centers. It’s been reported he’s still playing through a sore foot but that really doesn’t seem to be bothering him. Just be sure to check back closer to game time to make sure he’s playing. (DraftKings $7,400)
Chauncey Billups – In the last two games before the ASB he played 36 minutes and put up a ridiculous 64 FP (DraftKings‘ pricing). Yet somehow, his price is still very low. He should be well rested tonight since this is the Clippers first game following the ASB and he did not participate over the weekend. The Spurs are much tougher defensively than the two opponents he faced (Lakers & Rockets) when putting up those numbers, but he should still be able to hit value tonight. (DraftKings $3,900)
Kirk Hinrich – It was reported this morning that he will be a game time decision due to elbow injuries, but if he plays I like him a lot. His price has dipped very low and in his first game back he put up around 28 FP. Miami has been terrible against the PG as of late, and if he plays he should do very well. If he doesn’t go, Nate Robinson will be called on again, and would also make for a very nice play despite his increased price thanks to how well he played when Hinrich was out. (DraftKings $4,700)
