Where to Play:
With one of the lowest-scoring nights in daily fantasy basketball behind us, were moving to Friday where we have a full slate of games (12) and lots of decisions to be made. Tonight, I’ll be on many different sites taking advantage of all the free roll Friday action, but I’ll be highlighting my picks tonight based on DraftKings pricing.
Last Night’s Picks:
Chris Paul was his usual dominant stud self last night. Wait, no, he sucked. The whole Clippers team looked like they were still on their All-Star break and did not show up against the Spurs. He finished with a whopping 11 FPs.
Blake Griffin was the lone bright spot for the Clips finishing with 30 FPs.
Joakim Noah was possibly the pick of the night based on price as he went for a very solid 41 FPs. Even though it was a blowout, Joakim got his.
Chauncey Billups struggled along with the rest of the Clips, only playing 16 minutes and finishing with 9 FPs.
Kirk Hinrich did not play due to an elbow injury, and Nate Robinson was decent but in foul trouble the whole night and never really had the chance to get anything going.
Picks of the Night:
Ty Lawson is a man on fire right now and draws a great matchup in a high-scoring game at Washington. He has been producing at a very high rate and I don’t see that changing tonight. (DraftKings $8,100)
Josh Smith was very hot coming into the ASB and should continue that fantasy goodness tonight at home against the Kings. With the trade deadline in his rearview mirror, Smith is playing for a new contract and should show that tonight. My only concern is a blowout, but he should be able to hit value regardless. (DraftKings $9,100)
Dwight Howard seems to be healthy and has a nice matchup at home against the undersized J.J. Hickson. This game should be close and high-scoring, and Dwight’s price is just too tempting not to pick right now. (DraftKings $7,200)
The entire Orlando Magic roster has only seven players in uniform tonight, so blowout or not, these guys are going to have to log big minutes. Jameer Nelson has already been ruled out, meaning E’Twaun Moore should get the start and make for a decent play. Arron Afflalo, Moe Harkless, and Andrew Nicholson could all make for nice value plays. Yes, they are playing the Grizzlies who are solid on defense, but with only seven guys the minutes will be there.
Carlos Delfino – Chandler Parsons is a game-time decision with an ankle injury, and the Rockets still don’t have Thomas Robinson or Francisco Garcia available, meaning Delfino is starting. He is dirt cheap on DraftKings and should hit value just based on sheer volume of minutes tonight. (DraftKings $3,000)
Patrick Beverley – With Tony Douglas completely out of the picture, the backup point guard job is Beverley’s for the taking. He should be seeing around 20 minutes a game now and maybe more tonight, given that the Rockets don’t have many players available. A definite gamble, but it could pay off in a GPP format. (DraftKings $3,700)
