The Baseline Pulse is your top source in Daily Fantasy Basketball.
We bring you the latest NBA news and help prepare you with today’s analysis, top picks and sleepers. Let’s get to it.
Where to Play:
Friday night is always one of the best nights in daily fantasy basketball. There are tons of NBA games and daily fantasy games on tap. I’ll definitely be playing on a wide variety of sites tonight, making sure to take advantage of the different pricing & scoring systems. If you’re a guy who makes multiple teams on one site, try doing other sites as well because it’s a great way to “hedge you’re bets” per say. Tonight you’ll find me on DraftKings, DraftDay and FanThrowDown.
Last Night’s Picks:
Kobe Bryant – Kobe played like the Kobe of old, scoring 27 points in 29 minutes. If it weren’t for the Lakers getting blown out he would have been a very good pick, instead he was only a serviceable pick. Fortunately he still put up over 30 FP, which didn’t hurt you last night.
Carlos Boozer – Boozer did well considering his price last night, posting 18 points and 3 rebounds. Unfortunately he only saw 22 minutes as he found himself on the bench the whole fourth quarter, thanks to the blowout.
Last Night’s Sleepers/Value:
Earl Clark – Clark struggled against the C’s, as did many of the Lakers last night. Thankfully most everyone picked him, regardless of what site you played on, so he didn’t end up hurting you that much.
Jeff Green – Green put up a season high 19 points, hitting value on all sites.
Picks of the Night:
Lebron James – This sounds like an obvious pick (which it usually is), but considering that Dwayne Wade, Chris Bosh and Ray Allen are all game time decisions with flu like symptoms, this becomes a no brainer pick. Add in the fact that he’s playing the Clippers on ESPN, who might have both CP3 and Blake Griffin returning from injuries for the first game in a while. Lebron loves the spot light and its sure going to be shinning on him tonight. (DraftKings $11,000, DraftDay $19,200, FanThrowDown $9,900)
Tony Parker- This guy has been an absolute beast in games when Tim Duncan sits this year. That should continue in Detroit as Timmy D is listed as doubtful for tonight’s game, which means he’s not playing. Add in that Manu Ginobli is out again and Parker is going to be forced to carry the load once again. (DraftKings $8,500, DraftDay $13,550, FanThrowDown $7,800)
Kyrie Irving – I really like this matchup for Kyrie. He’s at home against an Orlando team that is arguably worse than the Cavs’ right now. Going up against Jameer Nelson, who is not good at defense, I expect Kyrie to carry the load tonight and put up some nice fantasy numbers. (DraftKings $8,100, DraftDay $14,400, FanThrowDown $9,100)
Michael Gelabale – He started the last game for the injured Andrei Kirilenko, logging ten points and three rebounds in 34 minutes. Kirilenko is doubtful again tonight when Minnesota faces the Knicks. Gelable could make for a nice super sleeper play as his price is dirt-cheap on all sites. (DraftKings $3,000, DraftDay $3,600, FanThrowDown $3,200)
Earl Clark – I know he had a very unimpressive game last night in Boston, but that’s going to change tonight against the Bobcats. Pau Gasol is out for six weeks, so keep riding Clark until his price gets unreasonable. Over the last ten games, Charlotte ranks second to last against opposing PF’s in defensive efficiency. The Lakers need Clark to play big minutes so I’m expecting him to hit value on every site regardless of his price. (DraftKings $5,900, DraftDay $9,250, FanThrowDown $5,000)
Ricky Rubio – Take a look at his fantasy numbers and minutes the past two games. He’s the full time point guard now, and is starting to play like the Rubio we saw last season before his ACL tear. Keep riding him while he’s cheap. (DraftKings $5,400, DraftDay $8,700, FanThrowDown $4,500)
