Daily Fantasy Strategy for PGA Golf
“Is that your real hair?” If you haven’t had a chance to check out the new Nike commercial with Tiger and Rory now is the time.
I love watching these guys together (whether spliced or not.) I especially love watching them play in the same group, in Primetime. Like the commercial, these guys rarely miss the cup. Unfortunately there was a lot of cup missing going on last night. Both Tiger and Rory couldn’t seem to get under par at Abu Dhabi, Tiger posted an even par 72 and Rory posted a +3, 75. This seems to be the story of Tiger’s new life and we have also seen some inconsistency in Rory’s game. I was pleased with Tiger, and other than two bogeys’ to start he finished the round strong with 3 birdies in the last 4 holes. Rory didn’t look as impressive, many will blame it on the new sticks, but we have seen this type of inconsistency before. Both need a better showing today, if they hope to compete for a win. Jamie Donaldson and Justin Rose both sit at -5 and were very impressive. Hopefully the two “best” in the world can pull it together for today’s round.
On the fantasy golf side of things, The Humana Challenge kicks off today. I think this tournament goes low, way low and is potentially won by one of the value picks. I am worried about Mickleson’s performance this week. I highlighted Mickleson as one of my picks for the win this week; unfortunately he has been sick and has not been able to participate in practice rounds. This doesn’t usually bother “Lefty” and he should still shoot low, but it’s definitely something to track during the tournament. It is important for fantasy golfers to pay attention to scores everyday and check out overall performance to prepare for the next tournament. Because of the rigorous tournament schedule a fantasy golfer needs to be researching for the next tournament during the previous tournament.
