Where to Play:
Anywhere you play today will be kind of a let down after yesterday’s huge $25K game at DraftKings, but over at Draft Day, there are a variety of games starting at $1. DraftKings also has their daily freeroll to go along with their paid games. You will also find me playing at Fan Throwdown tonight.
Today, let’s take a look at three players we talked about on our Saturday NHL Supershow.
Thomas Vanek- Vanek was his usual self as he picked up a goal and an assist to go along with 3 SOG, good for 6.2 FP in most formats. He is as close to a sure thing as there is in the NHL right now.
Phil Kessel- We talked about how Kessel had broken the seal by scoring his first goal on Thursday. He kept it going by picking up 1 goal to go along with 2 assists and 2 SOG, good for 7.8 FP in most formats, in last night’s destruction of Montreal.
Antti Niemi- We were high on Niemi playing a solid game against Phoenix, and he did not disappoint as he shutout out the Coyotes for 65 minutes. Unfortunately, the Sharks could not score either, so Niemi ended up losing in a shootout. However, if you followed our advice, you still took the shutout bonus, and he was good for 6.2 FP in most formats.
Thomas Vanek- Last game against Boston, Buffalo scored 7. Conventional wisdom suggests that this will be a low-scoring game, however Buffalo just seems to always score on the Bruins, scoring 37 goals in their last ten games against Boston. I look for Buffalo to score at least 3 today, and you know Vanek will be involved. (7.1k DraftKings, 13.65k DraftDay, 9k FanThrowdown)
Steven Stamkos- Tampa and New York have both been off since February 7th, and with both teams well-rested, I anticipate a good game. Stamkos is the best player on either team, and I expect him to have a solid game. (8.8k DraftKings, 14.7k DraftDay, 9k FanThrowdown)
Jordan Eberle- The Charlotte Bobcats… oops, I mean the Columbus Blue Jackets give up a lot of goals. Even though Edmonton played yesterday in Detroit, they are a young team and I don’t expect them to suffer on the back-to-back. Eberle is a world-class talent and he should put up at least 1 goal.
