Where to Play:
DraftKings continues to roll out their daily freeroll to go along with a plethora of GPPs, HUs and 50/50 games. DraftDay does not have a freeroll today, but they do have a good variety of the others. FanThrowdown has a new daily freeroll to go along with their collection of other games.
Thomas Vanek- The Sabres continue to struggle, this time falling 2-1 to a bad Winnipeg team. Vanek managed 3 SOG for 0.9 FP using DK scoring.
Teddy Purcell- Tampa Bay beat Toronto by a 4-2 score, and Purcell moved up to the top line. Even with this, he somehow managed not to get on the score sheet. He did get 2 SOG and 2 PIM for 0.8 FP using DK scoring.
Phil Kessel- Kessel stayed on his hot streak notching an assist to go along with 1 SOG for 2.3 FP using DK scoring.
Sidney Crosby (PIT-C)- With only three games on the docket tonight, having the best player in the world in your lineup is a must. He has been on fire recently and gets a fairly good matchup at home against Philadelphia. ($8.8k DraftKings, $18.8k DraftDay, $7.3 FanThrowdown)
Claude Giroux (PHI-C)- Giroux has been on a roll and is getting a lot of ice time. The top line of Giroux between Read and Voracek really seems to be developing some good chemistry together and had a monster game last time out. He should find the scoresheet again today in a big rivalry game with Pittsburgh. ($7.4k DraftKings, $13.65k DraftDay, $4.6k FanThrowdown)
Jarome Iginla (CAL-RW)- Iginla is off to a slow start this year but gets a good matchup tonight against a Kings team that is on the back end of a B2B. He has six points in eight home games this year, so look for him to continue that production tonight. ($5.7k DraftKings, $9.1k DraftDay, $7.3k FanThrowdown)
Aaron Palushaj (COL-LW)- Palushaj was claimed off of waivers by Colorado less than two weeks ago, and he’s now getting time on the second line in Colorado where he has four points in four games. The Avalanche also get the Blues on the back end of a B2B. ($2.3k DraftKings, $6.9k DraftDay, $7.4 FanThrowdown)
Lee Stempniak (CAL-RW)- Stempniak has been one of Calgary’s most consistent scorers and he has done most of his damage on home ice where he has seven points in eight games. ($4k DraftKings, $6.05k DraftDay, $7.2k FanThrowdown)
Vladimir Tarasenko (STL-RW)- Tarasenko has been a fixture in this spot, and though he has slowed down of late, he still gets a good matchup tonight. I do worry about him being on the back end of a B2B, but his price is still a good value. With only three games on the schedule, really good values are hard to find. ( $2.2k DraftKings, $7k DraftDay, $6.2k FanThrowdown)
