@golabattblue recaps our picks from yesterday and brings you today’s NHL previews, analysis, top picks, and sleepers.
Where to play:
DraftKings has their usual array of GPP’s, 50/50′s and HU games as well as their daily freeroll. DraftDay has some GPP’s and 50/50 games, while FanThrowdown has their GPP as well as lot’s of double up games.
Pavel Datsyuk- Detroit got off to a blazing start, scoring only 18 seconds into the game and adding a second goal a few minutes later. However, that was the extent of their offense and the Wings ended up losing to the lowly Columbus Blue Jackets by a score of 3-2. Datsyuk did not do much in a matchup that he usually dominates. He provided 3 SOG and 1 BS for 1.4 FP using DraftKings scoring.
Once again we have a light slate of games tonight, with only six teams in action.
Evgeni Malkin (C-PIT) – The Pens welcome Florida to the Igloo tonight looking for their seventh straight home win against Florida. Despite Florida winning in Philly last night, the Panthers are still a bad team. Malkin scored his first goal in six games a few nights ago against the Flyers, and I expect him to light up the scoreboard tonight against Florida. ($8.7k DraftKings, $15.85k DraftDay, $8.1k FanThrowdown)
Sidney Crosby (C-Pit) – I don’t normally recommend two players from the same team, but with the light schedule and great matchup it is hard not to. Crosby should have a great game tonight. ($8.8k DraftKings, $17.05k DraftDay, $9k FanThrowdown)
Patrick Kane (RW-Chi) – The Hawks are looking to set a record for the best start in NHL history tonight. As long as they don’t lose in regulation, they will have recorded a point in 17 consecutive games to start the season. Kane hasn’t scored a goal in four games, so he is due to break out. ($6.1k DraftKings, $11.2k DraftDay, $7.4k FanThrowdown)
Dave Bolland (C-Chi) – As mentioned above, Chicago should be motivated and looking to set the record tonight. Bolland hasn’t really gotten on track yet this year, but he did score a goal in the last game against SJ. ($3.9k DraftKings, $6.8k DraftDay, $4.8k FanThrowdown)
Ryan Ellis (D-Nash) – Defensemen aren’t normally recommended in this spot, but once again with only three games tonight we have to think outside the box. Ellis has started to pick up his game, and he has four points in eight home games this year. ($3.2k DraftKings, $4.8k DraftDay, $4k FanThrowdown)
Brandon Sutter (C-Pit) – With Crosby and Malkin ahead of him, he doesn’t get much recognition. He has quietly been providing value though, with six points in his last ten games. ($3.8k DraftKings, $7.1k DraftDay, $5.4k FanThrowdown)
