It was another great night of hockey on The Circuit over at DraftKings! Congratulations to flipryan on taking down the top point total in the event, while Mike5754 and Tobinator44 weren’t too far behind! We’ll see everyone over at FanThrowdown as The Circuit continues, but for now, let’s get in on all of today’s daily fantasy hockey action!
Where to Play:
DraftKings and FanThrowdown both have freerolls and have a good variety of daily fantasy hockey games, including GPPs, HUs and 50/50s at various price ranges. DraftDay has it’s usual assortment of target games, 50/50s and GPPs.
Ryan Getzlaf (ANA-C) is a guy who is simply on fire right now, along with Corey Perry who is another great option. Getzlaf has always played well against the Flames, and tonight the Ducks are at home in a rematch against a team they scored five goals on last time, with Getzlaf getting two of them. ($5.8k DraftKings, $14.85k DraftDay, $9k FanThrowdown)
Rick Nash (NYR-LW) is another guy just on another level right now and is pretty much carrying the Rangers on his back while he rides an eight-game point streak. He’s notched at least two points in each of his last four games, and simply represents the most consistent option with the highest upside today. If you can fit him in your roster, don’t hesitate. ($8.6k DraftKings, $16.15k DraftDay, $9k FanThrowdown)
Evander Kane (WPG-LW),on the other hand, is a guy who is the opposite of hot, riding a four-game pointless streak. However, you can’t always go with the hot hand. He is still racking up points in the SOG category though, with 23 of them in his last four games to go with 6 PIM. He can help your team in other ways if he isn’t scoring. Winnipeg faces the Panthers tonight, a team that is giving up goals in bunches as it struggles to find some consistent goaltending while top goalie Jose Theodore is injured. ($7.2k DraftKings, $14.35k DraftDay, $9k FanThrowdown)
Brandon Saad (CHI-LW) is still skating on the top line and top power-play. Well, what can you say? If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. It looks like Hossa could be back in the lineup to rejoin that top line with Toews and Saad. While Patrick Sharp is out, I’m positive Saad will get all the ice-time he can handle. ($2k DraftKings, $5.7k DraftDay, $4.2k FanThrowdown)
You know my affinity for cheap defencemen, and Tyson Barrie (COL-D) fits the bill. He plays on the top power-play and gets a ton of ice-time. ($2k DraftKings)
I didn’t include Barrie’s prices on DraftDay or FanThrowdown because I’d rather take Cam Fowler (ANH-D) on those sites. He also plays on the top-power play and simply has more upside at the same price. ($3k DraftDay, $3.7k FanThrowdown)
While I can’t exactly endorse Jonathan Huburdeau as a value pick anymore (except on DraftKings), I can endorse one of his linemates, Drew Shore (FLA-C). If “Hoobie” (as I like to call him) finds the back of the net again, there’s a good chance that either Shore, or Peter Mueller will notch the assist. As bad as Florida is defensively, Winnipeg isn’t much better, so the matchup is ripe for the Panthers to scratch out a few goals. ($2k DraftKings, $4.65k DraftDay, $5.9k FanThrowdown)
