Last week’s Daytona 500 ended with Jimmie Johnson as the victor. The guys lucky enough to stay out of wrecks performed well and finished the race in good positions, helping our daily fantasy racing lineups cash along the way.
Last Week’s Daily Fantasy Racing Picks:
Tony “Smoke” Stewart finished 41st and was a victim of one of the first wrecks.
Jeff Gordon finished 20th and flirted with the lead pack most of the day. His performance was better than his finishing position.
Kyle Busch finished 34th and was a victim of Toyota’s engine trouble.
Kevin Harvick finished 42nd and was also a victim of one of the first big wrecks.
Trevor Bayne finished 27th and did not have the performance that was expected.
This week we get the Subway Fresh Fit 500. The Fresh Fit 500 runs at the Phoenix International Speedway in Avondale, AZ. Phoenix International is a mile-long track built in 1964. The glitz and glamour of the Dayton 500 is over, and the real racing begins. The Phoenix International Speedway starts West Coast racing and ends West Coast racing which makes it a staple in the “Race for the Cup.”

This Week’s Daily Fantasy Racing Picks:
Denny Hamlin is the defending champion and has had great past performances at Phoenix. His past history and his top-2 finish twice last year make him a fantasy lock.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. finished second at Daytona last weeks and looks like he’s on track for a great season. His team (pit crew) ranked 4th overall during the Daytona week. With all cylinders clicking, Jr. looks like a top-15 lock.
Jimmie Johnson won the Daytona 500 and has a great history at Phoenix with four wins. His great start last week should propel him to a top-10 finish this week.
Kyle Busch set the qualifying record at Phoenix last year. His engine troubles at Daytona may scare some people off this week, but Toyota should work hard to fix the problem and have a better showing this week.
Kurt Busch is a West Coast guy, just like his brother. His predicted fantasy performance is based off of prior performances at Phoenix. He should have a good run this week in the 500.
