This week check out Fantazzle- it is a great place to get into the NASCAR daily fantasy racing action.
Fantazzle has an array of game styles that makes it easy for the daily fantasy racing newcomer to start immediately and make some money. This week they are offering an affordable option to get in the daily fantasy racing game with a $5.50 daily fantasy racing GPP- check it out here.
Last Week’s Important Factors:
Danica Patrick won the first pole of the season. This guarantees her a spot in the 2014 Sprint Unlimited and allows her to at least get a chance at leading one lap. I don’t see her as being a race factor, but she showed us this week that she can go faster than the “boys” out there.
Kevin Harvick won the 2013 Sprint Unlimited. He also won the first qualifying race of the Budweiser Shootout.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. blew his engine in the Wednesday practice session; then with a back-up car, he posted a decent finish in the qualifying shootout to prove that he is fast. I have him at #6 in my daily fantasy racing rankings, just outside of the top five. While I definitely think he has the ability to win, there are faster cars out there.
Brian Keslowski proved to us that he wasn’t “Blue Deuce,” but I did enjoy watching him give it a go. He will need some sponsorship backing to figure out how to make his Gen-6 car go, but it’s possible to see him have some NASCAR success.
This week we get the Daytona 500. The 500 takes place at Daytona Beach, Florida and is the first “true” race of the season. The Daytona 500 has been a staple of NASCAR since its earliest days; during the first races, drivers raced around the beach on a makeshift sand track, and since 1959, drivers have tackled Daytona International Speedway for 500 grueling miles.
Check out my 5 NASCAR picks below that will score for your daily fantasy racing team and potentially get us the first win of the season.
It definitely pains me not to include Dale Earnhardt Jr. in my top five picks this week, but I have to go head over heart. Make sure you check out all of the plays and make informed decisions when it comes to filling our your NASCAR daily fantasy racing lineups. This Week’s Left Turn Picks:
Tony “Smoke” Stewart can race, simply put. He’s also looked extremely impressive in practice the past week. With all of Stewart Haas Racing performing well, this may be the year for Tony to get his first Daytona 500 win. Tony has previously won at Daytona, but in his mind needs this win to solidify an already successful year.
Jeff Gordon, the “Rainbow Warrior,” was very fast in qualifying and posted a 2nd place start. This bodes well for him because historically the pole winner does not win the race. Gordon has won the 500 three times and looks primed for a 4th this year.
Kyle Busch won the 2nd qualifying race Thursday and looked a lot better than he did last year. I like the way that Busch drives. He reminds me of Dale Earnhardt Sr., with a crash and dash mentality that pays off on the track. If he can stay out of trouble, I definitely see him finishing top-10 and possibly winning.
Kevin Harvick took down the Sprint Unlimited and the first qualifying shootout. He is locked and loaded to win his 2nd Daytona 500 and looks extremely fast. In a team transition year, many expected him to be out of the loop, but he has posted some of his best finishes in years.
Trevor Bayne is a young guy and already has a Daytona 500 victory. He seems very comfortable on the track and looks fast this year. I like him as more of a value pick, but definitely feel like he has the ability to post a victory.
