The Sandman’s Grab Bag: NHL Sleepers is an NHL daily fantasy strategy article finding value in guys you never would expect. An important element of NHL daily fantasy strategy is finding value, so we’ll be highlighting three sleepers every day that come in at a discount, so you can stack your lineup with studs.
Before we get to today’s sleepers, let’s take a look at last night and see how we did.
First up was Cory Conacher of Tampa. Conacher scored a goal and added a power play assist, to go along with a +1, 2PIM and 3SOG. You definitely got value if you had him in your lineup.
Next was Cody Hodgson of Buffalo. Not a good night for Cody as he just provided 2SOG.
Raphael Diaz of Montreal. He gave you two power play assists and 2SOG. At his price, he was a great value.
On to tonight.
My top sleeper is Mika Zibanejad of Ottawa. He was called up to the big club to fill in for the ailing Jason Spezza and did not disappoint, as he provided an assist to go along with 4SOG in a little over 14 minutes of ice time. Look for his ice time to increase and for him to continue produceing. (3000 on DD, 2200 on FTD)
Next up is Alex Galchenyuk. This American-born player is a world-class talent. He found out yesterday that the Canadiens are going to keep him with the big club for the year and proceeded to put up two assists and a +2 rating as well. He is only going to get better. (3000 DD, 3300 FTD)
Lastly, I like Mikkel Boedker of Phoenix. He has five points in six games including four points in four games at home. Phoenix is playing an Edmonton team that likes a wide-open game and their should be lots of scoring in this one. (6000 DD, 4500 FTD)
